OK, Iv been reading on here all about the maun jet,I have just recently just fitted a Raask drag pipe and removed the white spacer,so I thought the next thing to do would be to look at the main jet. So I went into my local Suzuki shop and asked for a 160&165 main jet. After he stoped laughing he asked me where I got the idia that a Savage needed such a big one,I told him that my Clymer manuel said 155 was standard,OH no says he, and looking on his special Suzuki computor he comes up with 135 standard on all Savage. So he gave no sold me a 137.5 and said this is the maximum if I dont want problems.I got home took of the carb because I cant find a screw driver that can crack those four screws I had to use a impact driver so Im pretty sure no one has been in there before me any how guess what I found........yes a main jet with 130 stamped on it. Well I put in the 137.5 took her out for a little ride and what a difference she really picks up well cant see any difference in top speed but pick up 50 to 75 is somthing else.So what I want to know now is what will happen if I put in a 140 say or maybe even a 145 or 150? what are the problems? Just for the technical guys its a 1991 Savage with no white spacer,a Raask drag pipe with baffle (I have nice niebours) and a newish standard air filter any info will be much appreciated Nod
